Terms
The short version, and the whole version.
Nine points, in plain sentences. If a longer agreement ever becomes necessary it will say exactly these things at greater length.
Who can use it
A parent or guardian creates the family, agrees to these terms on behalf of everyone in it, and is responsible for what happens inside. Children take part with their own PIN, set up by that parent. You need to be 18 or over to create a family.
The money is not real
FamCoin records the pocket money your family already handles between yourselves. It holds no funds, issues no card, moves nothing between accounts, and pays no interest itself — the rate is one you chose. The funds a child can invest in are a simulation for learning. Nothing here is a financial product, a payment service, or financial advice.
Health features are a log, not a doctor
The sugar readings, insulin doses, pens, daily checks, food entries and care habits are a record of decisions a person has already made. FamCoin does not diagnose, does not calculate or suggest a dose, and never replaces your doctor or diabetes team. Targets, ratios, routines and pen timings are values you enter after being told them by a clinician; if one of those is wrong in the app, the app will repeat it. It is not a medical device and must not be used as one.
Alerts are a convenience, never a safety net
Low and high alerts are ordinary push notifications. Phones are off, silent, out of battery and out of signal all the time, and delivery is not guaranteed by us or by anyone. Treat every alert that arrives as useful and every alert that does not as expected — a serious low is dealt with by the people in the room, not by an app.
Your content stays yours
Everything your family writes belongs to your family. We store it to run the service and for no other purpose: no advertising, no selling, no training on it. Delete the family and it goes with it.
Support access is by invitation only
Nobody at FamCoin can open your family without a support key a parent generates. Keys are scoped, expire on their own, can be closed by you in a tap, and every single use is written to an audit trail you can read.
Fair use
Use it for your own family. Don't try to break into other families' data, don't hammer the service, and don't use it to store anything unlawful. We can suspend an account that does — and we will tell you why.
Availability and liability
The service is offered as-is while in beta. We keep daily backups and aim to keep it up, but we do not warrant that it is uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, FamCoin is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision — medical, financial or otherwise — made on the basis of what the app displays. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes and endings
If anything material changes, families are told inside the app before it takes effect. You can close your family at any time from Settings; if we ever have to close the service, you will get notice and a full export first.
The two that matter most
The money is pocket money your family already handles. The health side records what someone decided; it never decides anything.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. See also the privacy statement, which says what is stored and who can reach it. This is a plain-language agreement kept in step with the app; a formal set reviewed by a lawyer accompanies public launch.
